Fall 2016 Remnants of Penn Station Tours with Untapped Cities:

In partnership with Untapped Cities, we are hosting a special “Demolition Anniversary” tour of the remnants of Penn Station. Join Justin Rivers, playwright of The Eternal Space on October 22nd &  23rd at  2:30 PM,  for tours timed with the 52nd anniversary of the station’s demolition.

Weaving in moments from the play, which features over 1,000 never before published photographs of the station by renown photographers Norman McGrath, Peter Moore, and Aaron Rose, along with the work of railroad aficionados Alexander Hatos, an employee of Pennsylvania Railroad and Ron Ziel, a railroad historian, the tour will also cover the past, present and future plans for the central transportation hub in New York City, accompanying a hunt for the many remaining pieces of the grand McKim, Mead & White station. Each guest will also receive a frame-able, reproduction ticket of the first commuter ride into Pennsylvania Station from 1910.

For those who have already taken our tours, this iteration will feature a new augmented reality tool that will overlay photographs of Penn Station past with the tour. It's worth joining us to be the first use this new hyper-location-based, interactive tool.
